Can’t beat the view!!! It was peaceful and quiet. We heard owls and frogs at night and saw rabbits, eagles, sea otters, seals, salmon, crab and jellyfish.

The views from this place are beautiful. We rented the main house. The property was a little a bit far out. But that allowed for the beautiful night sky with no light pollution. The place is a little dated but was tidy. A few of the shades did not work. If you like the quiet and solitude this place is for you! We enjoyed the quiet nights with the midnight sky being the star of the show. Went into Sooke to grab a bite to eat each day and also hiked a few places in the area.

What a magical place! The place was more updated than what the pictures show. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of room to spread out. The huge lot was a major plus and the kitchen had everything we needed. Wifi was great. It's only 2 mins from the East Sooke Regional Park which had the most incredible hiking.

Our group of three couples had a wonderful stay at this beautiful waterfront home. The location is absolutely stunning, and the views are some of the best we've experienced at any Airbnb. Waking up to the water every morning and spending time on the property made for a very relaxing getaway.

The home was spacious, comfortable, and well-suited for our group. We really enjoyed our time together and would definitely consider staying here again.

Absolutely gorgeous property!! The long dock was beautiful, we even had surprise guests of jellyfish and seals at sunset. The gazebo was an unusual and fun touch, perfect for nighttime adventures to watch the sea. The grass in the backyard went on for days, we caught some amazing stargazing and even a shooting star. Surrounded by the rainforest and incredible views of the cove inside and out. Will 100% be back, this property stole my heart.

We had a fantastic stay at the Sooke Beach House! The house was immaculate and exactly as described in the listing. The kitchen was well equipped with modern appliances, and the linens were comparable to those at a four-star hotel.

The property itself is absolutely beautiful. It overlooks Sooke Harbour and Whiffin Spit, with the Strait of Juan de Fuca in the distance. The sunsets were breathtaking.

The wildlife in the area was incredible.

The location was amazing. Very quiet and private. We had 4 generations of our family travelling together for a mini-reunion and the house/suite worked perfect for us. If you plan to cook, the kitchen was well equipped, but you will need to bring absolutely all food items including salt and pepper.

The property offers incredible views and a beautiful setting. However, given its remote location, we felt the kitchen was not stocked with some basic essentials that would have made our stay more convenient. Items that were missing included cooking spray, sugar, coffee, zip-top bags, plastic wrap, and aluminum foil. There was also only one roll of paper towel provided and just three wine glasses available.

We had an amazing time during our stay at this beautiful Oceanside oasis! The views are amazing! We explored the private beach daily, enjoyed watching the seals and otters hunt while we hung out on the pier. One otter even joined us on the pier! It’s super quiet so the evenings were serene and peaceful.

The beds were comfortable which made for restful sleeps! The house is a little outdated but you stay here for the views and the beautiful outdoor surroundings.

if you are looking for a peaceful private getaway, this is the place! Beautiful view with big windows to enjoy it from. Your own gazebo and pier where you can crab or just enjoy the water. I would highly recommend!

As the place is very remote, it's hard to navigate to where the entrance is from the road. I would recommend slowing down if you are arriving at night time to avoid overshooting.

This property is beautiful with private beach and huge sprawling lawn, gazebo and dock. The home is spacious and has lots of character. Very clean and comfortable with expansive views. Had 4 kids under 7 playing at the beach all day and had it been summer we would have swam for hours in the sandy ocean. Kids searched for crabs, shells, rocks and creatures, played games in the lawn and enjoyed the gazebo and piano in the evenings. Lovely and relaxing place.

We truly had a wonderful stay at your Pacific Coast Beach House. The views were absolutely breathtaking and having access to the private pier made the experience even more special. Beautiful outdoor place, peaceful and quiet.
The house was poorly cleaned.
We stayed there last year, and issues such as blinds that didnt work, were not fixed.
Power outage for 8 hours, with no running water. The guest book said there were flash lights, by the fireplace, but there were no flash lights or lanterns.

Die großzügige Villa aus den achtziger Jahren liegt südlich von Sooke auf einem großzügigen Grundstück, das direkt an den Strand grenzt. Das Haus war sauber, und die technischen Einrichtungen funktionierten alle.
Es ist sehr viel Platz, auch für größere Familien oder Gruppen und besonders das Master Schlafzimmer im ersten Stock bietet eine tolle Aussicht.

If you’re a nature lover this is your perfect stay. In the property grounds we viewed seals, sea lions, otters, bald eagles and numerous other wildlife. The views from the lounge and master bedroom can not be beaten.This is a well loved home, an old school homestay, sating that it is a home to die for. It’s is extremely spacious for at least 6 adults.The showers had good pressure and were hot. The beds extremely comfortable. Each bedroom with its own en suite.

Beautiful property! Lots of space for our group of seven. The master bedroom has an incredible view! The location is a little remote but that added to the quiet time we were looking to find. Lots of critters -- deer, eagles and rabbits. Luckily, the bunnies knew to stay away from the eagles. There was also a black bear that strolled across the back of the property. We would definitely recommend this property!

Perfect space for a large group gathering. Beautiful backyard with plenty of space to enjoy all of nature. You had a great view of the water, mountains, and trees. Wish there was a fire pit or a hot tub. Would’ve been a perfect touch for the later nights. Great sense of privacy as well. Only thing to note: A bit of a sharp turn to get onto the property from the road.

You can't beat the view

My family and I had an amazing stay at the house. The place was very clean, spacious and beautiful. I was lucky enough to see an orca whale swimming front of the property, just in front of whiffin spit. I later found out that whiffin spit is a great place to do whale watching, as they come around frequently. I would absolutely stay here again.

Stunning surroundings with incredible views! The house is older, but spacious with lots of room for a family of 8. It could use some updating, but we made due. The house is run by a third party so it doesn’t have that Airbnb feel to it. Could use some outdoor games for family fun. Some kayaks or paddle boards to enjoy the water would have made this place a 10 out of 10! Bring extra shampoo and amenities if you plan on staying more than a few nights.

Beautiful, peaceful spot. We had the main house and the suite, which provided plenty of room for the 8 of us. The only thing we wished we had more of were dishes and cutlery. Overall a great stay and the host always responded quickly to any questions we had.

Piece of paradise

Beautiful property with a large house and a big back yard. The geese are nice to look at and very photogenic, but make walking through the grass an obstacle course. Has direct access to the water. Kitchen is a good size and had enough plates and silverware for our 3 adults. Good hot water and water pressure. Easy access to East Sooke Regional Park. Loved our stay here!

Inside not as good as outside

The house is in a great location. Beautiful. Love the ocean views, the dock, and yard.

Sadly, it's in bad repair, dated, and not very cozy. The house was pretty unclean upon arrival. Sunflower seeds on the floor and kitchen pans still dirty in the cabinets. The house feels tired overall. Towel rods in the bathroom repaired with electric tape is just one example. Furniture is mismatched throughout the house. It just kind of feels like someone went to a thrift store and got random used pieces.

Great Location, Great View, Great Home

Everything was very clean. The home is aged but a great clean space to spend a week watching sunsets over the ocean. Seals and otters on the dock in the morning, fishing we caught nothing but seaweed, caught crabs, and all appliances, laundry, bbq worked and well stocked for family meals of 8. Definitely recommended if you don't mind the winding road in and steep driveway. The property is in a cell phone roaming location though, but wifi works great.

This secluded paradise is perfect for a family get a way to just relax and hang out together. It is so close to hiking as an afternoon break from just laying out in the back yard. Nature everywhere was a refreshing break from daily life. Would highly recommend this property.

We loved this place!

If you love being in nature and away from crowds, this is an amazing place! There was a great view of the harbor and we could see otters playing on the dock and bald eagles flying around every day, not to mention great sunsets and stargazing. There is a big yard, the beds were comfy and the kitchen was functional, making a "stay at home" day fun too. It is a bit out in the country, meaning going to many sites is a bit of a drive on a very winding road, but there is plenty of hiking nearby.

Amazing experience

Wonderful views!!

20 min from Sooke on winding roads... However this is a great, peaceful property with spectacular views of the bay! Great sighting of eagles and other prey birds flying nearby. Property manager accessible and quick to answer questions. Could be better stocked for group of 8 (only set of 8 in dishes, cutlery, etc.). We do recommend this property...

We love it!

This property is beautiful! This was our 2nd time at this amazing house and we will come back again. We live in Victoria and it's a gift to be so close to such a lush,secluded, amazing piece of nature. We had the best family time and fun at this house. Lovely Family Holiday

We enjoyed greatly our stay and had a lovely three generation family holiday. Our grandchildren explored the area (with adult supervision) and played pirate games.
We caught a lot of crabs and enjoyed crab feasts most days.
We had our own boat and successful fishing occurred every day. We went to the Spit (beautiful view of it from the property), French Beach, the Potholes and the sandy beach at the park next door. Great experiences for all!

Nice location. Old house.

Big thank you to Candice of EMR. She's super nice and helpful. She made our stay wonderful. Thank you to Candice's mom for helping us too. Super nice ladies.

Pros: Beautiful view. House has private dock with 2 crab cages. We caught a lot of crabs for dinner. We didn't catch any fish though.
House has huge yard. Saw deers, eagles & quails in the backyard.

Cons: House is old and has the moldy old house smell. Needs updating. Some furniture falling apart. Dishwasher was unpredictable.

We had a great time - wonderful remote feeling to the property with trees and water surrounding the house - it felt very private.
We had a couple of minor issues with the head and the oven but the management company was absolutely fantastic dealing with them very promptly and efficiently.

It was a heavenly week!

The location and wildlife were utterly amazing! I ended up taking more than 1K photos right there on the property. We saw bald eagles (nesting right there), numerous songbirds including wrens, robins, towhees, and more. Families of quail came out every morning and put on quite a show with their dozens of babies. :) There were many rabbits and several juvies.

Disappointed

Great location....however, very disappointed in that online it was listed as No Pets. Came to find out that owners have had pets in the house.
A member of our party of 8 is very sensitive to dander, hair, etc....and staying at the house effected his well-being. We are always looking for No Pet sites and are willing to pay extra for them. I was very disappointed by this misrepresentation.
